Montreal has a Baroque classical music festival every June. Baroque music is from the 17th and 18th centuries. The concerts take place in Old Montreal. There are free shows at Place de La Dauversière, which is the small park next to Place Jacques-Cartier, across from Montreal City Hall (Metro Champs-de-Mars).
There are also concerts with tickets, which are $10 for students. At the Café à Propos (300 Notre Dame East), there are free talks and jam sessions with musicians at 11 pm.
