The Montreal World Film Festival is a large international film festival in downtown Montreal, at the Cinema Imperial (1430 de Bleury – near Metro Place-des-Arts) and at other theatres. It runs from late August to early September. Along with many new films and movie stars, there are free films shown outside at Place-des-Arts. Famous movie stars and filmmakers are in the city.
