Santa Claus Parade

» Santa Claus Parade

On a Saturday near the end of November, there is a Santa Claus parade on Sainte Catherine Street, between Fort Street and Saint Urbain Street. It passes in front of our school. Every year, downtown stores make a parade for the beginning of the Christmas shopping season. At the end of the parade, there is Santa Claus riding on a big float with his elves and reindeer. Many families bring their young children to see Santa Claus coming to town! Children are excited and look forward to the chance to meet Santa Claus at a shopping centre.

The parade usually begins at 11:00 am at Fort Street, near our school. It isn’t long, but there are colourful floats and characters in costumes and music to make everyone feel like Christmas is coming.
